The Grid Hedge Scalper — +98% then back to +48%
A gold robot I started at $20,000. It climbed to almost +100%, took a big hit, and I switched it off at +48.2%. The honest record, and why I pulled the plug.

This is one of the trading robots I actually ran with real cash. It traded gold, started at $19,954, and over 51 days it climbed to almost +100% before handing a chunk back. I switched it off at +48.2%.
What it did
The equity curve tells the story better than I can. A grind up, a sharp drawdown near day 10, then a steady climb to a peak around $39,500 — almost double the starting balance — followed by a fast give-back at the end. That last leg is exactly the moment that matters.
Why I switched it off
The peak was near +98%. If I'd been greedy and left it running to "let it work," it would have kept giving the profit back. The strategy had found an edge in a particular regime, and that regime was ending. No robot tells you that — you have to read it yourself.
So I took the +48.2% and stopped. That call — not the code — is the whole game. Anyone can build a bot that works for a while. Knowing when its edge has run out is the hard part.
